Name:RE575415 John Deere Crankcase Pressure Sensor:

Product Description

RE575415 John Deere Crankcase Pressure Sensor: Used to monitor the internal pressure within the engine crankcase, it is a critical component for engine emissions control and fault diagnostics. I. Core Information

OE Part Number: RE575415 (John Deere)

Type: Crankcase Pressure Sensor (Crankcase Ventilation Pressure Sensor)

Replacement Model: RE548703

Function: Monitors crankcase pressure in real-time; provides feedback to the ECU to control the PCV valve; assists in diagnosing engine blow-by or leakage faults; and prevents excessive pressure from damaging oil seals.

II. Key Parameters

Table

Protection Rating IP67 (Waterproof and dustproof)

Operating Temperature -40°C to +125°C

Weight Approx. 0.11 lb (50g)

Material Engineering plastic + Ceramic pressure chip

III. Compatible Equipment (John Deere)

Tractors: 6155M/R, 6170M/R, 6190R, 6210R, 7200R, 7230R, 7250R, 7270R Series

Harvesters / Construction Machinery: C1 200, C2 300/400, R2 300, R4023/4030, T5 400, W2 300, etc.

Engines: Compatible with John Deere 6-cylinder electronically controlled diesel engines (e.g., 6135, 6090 Series)

IV. Working Principle

The sensor is installed on the crankcase or valve cover. Changes in internal pressure cause the internal chip to generate an electrical signal, based on which the ECU determines the following:

Normal Pressure: The PCV valve is functioning correctly, and exhaust gas circulation is unobstructed.

Excessive Pressure: Indicates piston ring wear or severe blow-by; triggers a "high crankcase pressure" fault code (e.g., P0507, P0508).

Insufficient Pressure: Indicates a clogged PCV valve or a leak in the associated tubing/lines.

VI. Installation and Troubleshooting

Installation Guidelines

Install on the crankcase / Ensure proper sealing with no air leaks by utilizing the designated threaded ports on the valve cover.

The electrical connector features a waterproof seal to prevent the ingress of oil and moisture.

After installation, clear any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and perform a test drive while monitoring pressure data.

Common Faults

DTCs: P0507 (Crankcase Pressure Too High), P0508 (Crankcase Pressure Too Low)

Symptoms: Unstable engine idle, increased fuel consumption, oil leaks from seals, abnormal noise from the PCV valve.

Troubleshooting Steps

Use a diagnostic scanner to read the crankcase pressure data stream (at idle: approx. 0–5 kPa).

Inspect the PCV valve and ventilation lines for any blockages or leaks.

Replace the sensor to determine if the fault is resolved.
