III. Replacements and Interchangeability
Direct OEM Interchange: CA4D4785
V. Fault Diagnosis and Self-Check
Alarm Light Stays On: Oil pressure is normal, yet alarm persists → Internal switch contacts are stuck (welded) / Short circuit
Alarm Light Does Not Turn On: Oil pressure is too low, yet no alarm sounds → Switch Contacts Open / Failed
Self-Diagnostic Procedure:
Disconnect the plug and use a multimeter to measure across the switch terminals: Continuity should be present at pressures <4 psi, and the circuit should be open at pressures >4 psi.
Check the terminals for oxidation or looseness, and inspect the wiring harness for damage.
