Physical Configuration: Features two large, heavy-duty terminals plus a 3-pin black control connector; includes a metal mounting bracket; designed specifically for micro-excavators as a direct, plug-and-play replacement for original factory parts.

Compatibility/Replacement: No generic aftermarket substitutes available; serves as a direct, interchangeable replacement matching the exact specifications and OE part number: 18D12-00164.

II. Compatible Models (Core Kubota Mini-Excavator Series)

Kubota Micro-Excavators:

KX155-5, KX163-5, KX175-5, KX183-5; U15/U17/U20/U25/U30/U35 (Compatible with all D1105, D1305, and V2403 engine series utilizing a 12V electrical system).

Associated Equipment:

Kubota Diesel Generator Sets, Agricultural Tractors, and Skid Steer Loaders equipped with 12V pre-heating systems.

III. Wiring Pinout Definition

Two Heavy-Duty Copper Terminals: One terminal connects to the 12V battery positive (+) post; the other terminal serves as the main power supply for the vehicle's entire glow plug system.

3-Pin Connector (Fine Wires): Receives ECU temperature control signals and ignition signals; the vehicle's onboard computer (ECU) automatically regulates the pre-heating duration based on ambient temperature readings.

IV. Common Failure Symptoms

Difficulty starting the engine in cold conditions (cold start issues); emission of heavy white smoke upon starting; pre-heating indicator light fails to illuminate.

Contact Sticking/Welding: Glow plugs remain continuously energized (stuck "on"); results in battery drain/discharge; causes the pre-heating system fuse to blow.

Pre-heating indicator light remains constantly illuminated (does not turn off); leads to excessive pre-heating and subsequent burnout/damage of the glow plugs.
