Product Description

I. Basic Parameters

Original Equipment (OE) Part No.: 28620-1420A; Aftermarket Generic No.: 182800-3330

Coil Voltage: DC 24V. High-power main pre-heating relay; controls the high-current power supply to the cylinder glow plugs.

Structure: 2 heavy-duty terminals + 1 white 2-pin connector (control signal line); includes a fixed mounting bracket. Direct plug-and-play replacement for the original vehicle—no wiring modification required.

Brand: DENSO (Original Equipment Manufacturer/OEM supplier). Part of the same DENSO series as the E0080/E0110 starter relays mentioned previously.

II. Compatible Models (Hino J05E/J08E Engines | Primary Models for Kobelco -8 Series Excavators)

Kobelco Excavators:

SK200-8, SK210-8, SK250-8, SK260-8, SK330-8, SK350-8 (Dedicated pre-heating relay for the entire -8 series lineup).

Hino Chassis-based Equipment:

Hino Concrete Mixer Trucks, Concrete Pump Trucks, 700 Series Trucks, Generator Sets (Compatible with both J05E and J08 engines).

III. Wiring Definitions

Two Heavy-Duty Copper Terminals: One connects to the battery's 24V positive (+) terminal; the other connects directly to the main power supply line for the vehicle's glow plugs.

White 2-Pin Connector (Thin Wires): ECU / Pre-heating Controller Signal Input (24V control line; the vehicle's computer outputs a 24V signal during cold-start ignition to energize/engage the relay).

Troubleshooting/Testing: Apply 24V voltage to the connector pins; if the two heavy-duty terminals show continuity (conduct current), the relay is functional; if there is no continuity, the internal coil is burnt out.

IV. Common Fault Symptoms

Difficulty starting the engine in cold weather (cold start), or white smoke emitted during ignition: The pre-heating relay is failing to engage, preventing the glow plugs from heating up.

Frequent blowing/burning out of the pre-heating fuse: The relay's internal contacts have short-circuited or fused together, resulting in a constant "always-on" state.

Pre-heating indicator light remains constantly lit (does not turn off): The relay contacts have fused shut, causing the glow plugs to continuously draw power and drain the battery.
