IV. Three Key Functions

Cold-Start Pre-heating Delay: Temperature-controlled regulation of glow plug activation duration to enhance cold-start performance in low-temperature environments.

RPM-Based Safety Lockout: Automatically cuts off the pre-heating circuit once the engine has fired up and the alternator has established RPM; Locks out the starter circuit when the engine is off, preventing accidental starter engagement (which can burn out the starter motor or damage the flywheel ring gear).

Low Voltage / Short Circuit Protection: Instantly locks out both the pre-heating and starter circuits in the event of a low battery charge or a wiring short circuit.

V. Common Faults

Pre-heating indicator light remains constantly illuminated (does not turn off); Glow plugs remain continuously active, leading to burnout/ablation: Indicates a failure within the internal timing circuit. Preheating functions normally, but turning the key elicits no response from the motor: Speed detection circuit failure.

Motor continues to run continuously after starting and does not shut off: Internal contacts are stuck.
