Functional Description (Distinction from Standard Relays)

1. Glow Plug Delay (Core Function): When the ignition key is turned to the "ON" position, power is automatically supplied to the glow plugs for 15–30 seconds (duration automatically extends in low-temperature conditions) to preheat the cylinders and improve cold-starting performance.

2. Starter Control: Once the preheating cycle is complete, turning the ignition key to the "START" position engages the main contacts, delivering high-current power (24V) to the starter motor.

3. Protection Functions:

◦ Prevents glow plug burnout caused by excessive preheating duration;

◦ Prevents unintended glow plug activation during engine cranking;

◦ Overcurrent / Short-circuit protection to safeguard the battery and electrical wiring.
