II. Core Functions (320D Circuitry)

Starting Control: Ignition key turned to START → Coil engages → Contacts close → Battery power flows to Starter Motor; controls the high-current circuit for the starter. 

Pre-heating Assistance: When the engine is cold, works in conjunction with the ECU to energize the glow plugs, facilitating improved cold-weather starting. 

Safety Isolation: Disconnects when the ignition key is turned OFF, preventing power leakage and accidental starting.
