Improvement of Casting Process for Stainless Steel Support

The ZG0Cr14Ni5Mn2Cu stainless steel bearing casting has shrinkage defects in the early production. The numerical simulation results of the solidification process using JSCAST software are consistent with the production results. For this reason, the size of the casting part and the gating system are improved to improve the feeding ability of the thick part of the casting. The numerical simulation results of the improved process scheme show that the scheme will not cause shrinkage defects. On this basis, the process was successfully improved, and castings with qualified quality were obtained
