Preparation and Properties of Novel Yttrium Oxide Coatings for Titanium Alloy Investment Casting

A new type of yttrium oxide coating for titanium alloy investment casting was prepared. Ammonium zirconium carbonate was used as a binder, and yttrium oxide graded powder was used as a refractory material. The yttrium oxide coating is mainly used as the surface layer and subsurface layer of the shell, and the influence of the powder-liquid ratio on the performance of the coating is studied. The test results show that when the powder-to-liquid ratio is 3.0 g/mL, the coating performance is the best, and the coating and hanging properties are the best.
